Buildings Must Comply or Risk Penalties, New Water Tank Inspection Rules

Keeping the water that residents drink, cook with and bathe in safe should be a priority for any building owner or board. The NYC council makes it so with the enactment of the “Drinking Water Rank Inspection” law which creates cash penalties for buildings in violation of the mandatory drinking water (roof) tank annual inspection. In his column in the June issue of The Cooperator, Philip J. Kraus explains the new safety rules for drinking water (roof) tank inspections and reminds buildings that they must comply or risk penalties.
